I was really excited to try this place out. The menu looked great, the location is nice and the restaurant itself looks really cute and inviting. With that being said, when we got there we couldn't find ANY parking whatsoever, so my boyfriend dropped my mom and I off to go get our table and he would find a space. It literally took him 45 minutes to find a place to park. He ended up having to park way down the street in a sketchy little area and he was literally worried the entire time that either someone would break into his bmw or that he would get a ticket or towed. So that whole thing kind of started our night off on a sour note. If this place wants to succeed they really need to do something about the parking situation and most definitely should hire a valet stand. I don't even understand why they wouldn't have valet.... So then my mom and I wanted to order wine, first off their wine menu SUCKS, they have a terrible selection, my mom asked to sample the pinot grigio before she ordered it and our waitress (who clearly had a bad attitude and looked like she didn't want to be there) said "I am not sure if we allow that i will be right back" (in regards to being able to sample it). We have never been to a restaurant where having a taste of wine would ever be an issue, so that just set a bad vibe and it didn't make my mom happy, but the waitress ended up letting her have a sample, but only allowed her to take a sip instead of finishing the sample of wine, like all other restaurants let you do. We ordered two appetizers: a shrimp cocktail and the prosciutto wrapped dates (that are apparently supposed to be amazing). I asked for extra cocktail sauce, and when they brought out the shrimp cocktail sauce there was no extra sauce so I had to ask again. The shrimp were really tough and over cooked and tasted like it had butter on it. We were not impressed. We realized we never got the prosciutto wrapped dates, so when we inquired about it to our waitress (whom took FOREVER to track down) she said she didn't remember us ordering it. Which i distinctly remember ordering it because she said it was a very good appetizer. We re submitted our order for the other appetizer and surprisingly got them quickly, but nobody was impressed by them or liked them, they were actually gross. Our waitress was literally MIA the entire time, and we could see from where we were sitting that all of the waiters and waitresses were in the back of the restaurant outside drinking beers and smoking, it was really upsetting and such a turn off that the owner would allow that when clearly diners have a perfect view of all that nonsense going on, its very trashy. Finally after waiting so long we were able to order our entree. Our entrees took FOREVER to get. I wasn't impressed by the food at all. They have things on their menu with truffle oil....however in some of the dishes we ordered that specifically state they are truffle oil dishes, we could not taste ANY truffle oil. So maybe on their menu they shouldn't state that there is truffle oil if you can't taste it. I got a salad that was supposed to have white truffle oil on top and there was absolutely NONE. Someone in our group ordered this seafood risotto type of thing and they just didn't like it at all but didn't complain because they felt bad because of the face that every little thing was going wrong. But the risotto was just overcooked, too rich, and it was too sticky. The only thing people actually liked during this meal was the desserts we ordered which was a key lime pie and a chocolate mousse. We all ordered another round of wine and cocktails...everyone else got their wine except for my boyfriend and I...I had to ask twice to get my wine and I finally got it but they still did not bring out my boyfriends drink....It took 3 times asking 3 different people and he finally got his drink. The service was just over all really bad and our butts were all very sore from sitting so long on the extremely UNCOMFORTABLE chairs that they have outside. Has the owner even sat down in those chairs to see how uncomfortable they are? In what world does he think that is acceptable? I was really disappointed with this overall experience, I really wanted to like this place but I will most definitely not be back till they fix some things, and I definitely would NOT recommend anybody coming to this place, there are far better restaurants in Delray with way better service. They could have so much potential if they fix these things: Fix the parking situation, get cushions on all the patio furniture because the seats are so uncomfortable, make sure the waitresses have a nice attitude and wipe their sour puss faces off (especially the blonde with black glasses that has like a wisconsin type of accent), don't allow smoking on the porch, don't allow your staff to drink and smoke in the back where we can see it, and overall have better service, and use truffle oil as well!

Went there for my birthday dinner to try a new place. Staff was very friendly and food was really good. We had to sit inside because it was raining, but will totally be back so we can sit outside.

Enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. I had the bolognese which was delicious. Service was friendly.

I love the porch. The old house, outdoor, rustic, candlelit atmosphere makes it very comfortable . The food is consistently great. My boyfriend and I like to split the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and the under the brick chicken. Unfortunately they're closed until November for renovations. Fingers crossed these dishes are still on the menu!

I had to write this review and take extra time to say more than I normally would after reading comments made by one person in a review that were ridiculously over the top and negative, to the point it made me question what her motivation was. I am glad to see that after reading all the other reviews most of the other Yelp reviews were saying very similar things about my favorite new restaurant in Delray Beach, The Porch. Most people are just as excited about this very cool place as I am. How could you not be, a historic old house that screams "charm" , bottom line - The atmosphere can not be touched, it is exactly what all your friends up north picture when they get jealous and imagine you dining under the stars with ocean breezes gently blowing salt air thru the palm trees while your sipping a perfectly chilled custom crafted martini - it is romantic and sexy. This is a brand new establishment and my comments will give YELP readers the information they need to go try Porch and make their own decision and form their own opinion, as I thought this place was wonderful. Yes, it is brand new so there will always be things that need to be fine tuned , but honestly if this is how they are starting , I can not wait to see how great this place is going to be in a few months. I think the food is delicious, the second time we went, the server remembered us from the week before, I liked that because everyone wants to feel special and get that extra little bit of care and attention. Both times , the owner made the time to come by our table and ask us how everything was. In a time where family owned restaurants seem harder and harder to find and chains are popping up everywhere I am beyond happy to find a new gem like The Porch where the food is truly homemade and prepared with only fresh ingredients. Nothing I ate at The Porch was made from pre-prepped frozen food, To date I can recommend the following dishes - The seafood appetizers The Trio is outstanding, so good in fact we ordered a second one to share at the table, I love the slow roasted chicken with rosemary and a light creamy sauce served with a side of potatoes. I also think the pasta and veal is out of this world as are the short ribs. Make sure you leave plenty of room for your dinner because they do bring you fresh bread with a homemade dipping sauce, ( I want the recipe ) I also strongly recommend the carrot cake and key lime pie. Everything was as described on the menu. Last but far from least I need to mention the drinks are fantastic, I think this is the best Cosmo I have had in a very long time. So if you are looking for a place to just hang with friends to talk over a couple cocktails under the stars, this place is perfect , check out the swing in the garden in the side yard by the deck! The outdoor deck is decorated with lovely teak wood chairs and tables, with large white umbrellas and candles, surrounding the deck there are trees and a garden area , and while Delray Beach may have many places to eat outside I love this place far more than the others because I didn't feel like I was sitting on the sidewalk and eating in the street like most of the places on Atlantic. The Porch has the feeling of a place you would find in Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard, in other words it is just charming! I found the parking to be very easy, first time we went we parked on Atlantic at one of the valet services the town offers ( there are several locations ) and we walked the one block off Atlantic to The Porch, while walking we realized there is a huge parking lot that is free to park in immediately adjacent the Porch, so this is where we parked the second time we went. I honestly can not find anything to fault this place on and wish them great success and hope in the future , people who read Yelp reviews realize there always seems to be one crazy person who can only be happy when they are complaining, I guess this makes them feel important. In closing I will say that I have been told when you are making a decision to do something based on the opinions of many others, you should remove the comments made that are the very best and the very worst, as the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I would say that this suggestion is perfect for the restaurant reviews of The Porch, as almost everyone else had the same experiance I did - A GREAT NEW PLACE where the food, atmosphere and staff are a welcomed new addition to Delray beach dining scene!

Interesting option in a sea of choices. The Porch was a good choice overall. Food was very good quality, service was very friendly. We visited in the off season and there was literally no one else at the restaurant on the week night we stopped in. Not until we had nearly finish our meal did a few other people come into the restaurant. The location could make it difficult to find parking when it's the busy season but the ample outdoor seating on their nice "porch" would make it well worth it.

The Porch was a pleasant surprise, mostly because we're frequently disappointed with many overpriced-but-often-mediocre restaurants on Atlantic Avenue, so it was good to find a restaurant with tasty food at decent prices. Oh, and you can have a conversation without yelling! And as for the 1 or 2 scathing reviews - it just didn't seem likely, when this restaurant is busy every night, even out of season. We were not disappointed and would definitely return. We sat inside as it was hot and humid, and it was a lovely atmosphere - smart/casual without being pretentious. Our group of 5 had a mixture of main courses, ranging from fish, to pasta, to flatbread pizza. Everyone was delighted with their choice. The pasta was home-made and the sauces were prepared with fresh ingredients. Fresh seemed to be the theme of the evening, as even the mango in the salsa had been picked from the tree outside :-) Good range of wines, friendly and professional staff and a gorgeous setting in a quaint little house on the corner, just off the Ave. We are looking forward to visiting again in the cooler months, when we can enjoy sitting outside.

Wonderful new restaurant. Charming ambiance especially on a warm clear night. Can't beat dining on a lovely outside deck/porch, wonderful food and terrific servers. The new owners should be proud and deserve kudos. Just keep it up.

While reading the reviews we figured let's check the place out. Menu selection seemed good. Service slow. We had a large party of about 10 which was difficult for the waiter to handle. Food was slow to come out, after orders place when the good was being brought out we were told 2 of the meals were no longer available. Out of pizza and short ribs. To my surprise after being told that we were not even asked for a substitution! I would not recommend this place until they get a few things sorted out.

I loved this place. It's right off Atlantic Ave with a very large "porch" that is perfect for outdoor eating when the weather is nice. The food was also delicious. Great ambiance, excellent food, the only negative is the wait staff is still having growing pains. They tried bringing us another tables food twice, but nothing that would keep me from going back and they've not been open a couple week.

What a nice surprise in Delray Beach! It's a hidden gem as it is off of busy Atlantic Avenue. I had heard good things about this place last season but didn't eat here until the other night. So glad we did! The service was impeccable! I ordered the salmon and it was perfect. My husband ordered the tagliatelle and it was delicious. Nice wine list too. We are going back there tonight and bringing our friends.

Outrageous prices, small portions and a waste of a nice venue. Beef Carpaccio - $14.95, mostly greens with a dressing so rich with lemon it was downright sour, and not in a good way. (Had to ask, but thankfully got it taken off out bill since we stopped after 2 bites) $28 for 4 small ravioli on the Ravioli Aragosta - tasted great, but expected more. Left down $75+ and went through 3 servings of bread just hoping to get $'s worth and not leave starving.

I was really excited for this place. I've drove passed it quite a few times and it looked pretty lively. Finally, my boyfriend, myself, and another couple decided to try it out, and we saw they had a daily happy hour, twice a day; we thought "added bonus". Well we got there at approximately the start of happy hour at 9:30pm on a Saturday. And inquired about the happy hour, and the waiter, whom was very nice, said they no longer do happy hour; kind of a bummer. However, we ordered two rounds of drinks and enjoyed the view. The restaurant was dead; the staff was packing up the place around 10pm. I cannot comment on the food, but I'm sure it's great. Just wish they wouldn't advertise a happy hour if it doesn't exist.

Went to The Porch as guests of visiting friends who heard it was great! On a Frday at 5:30, we managed to arrive just as a deluge occurred ! We were promptly seated, given a lovely cocktail-the Porch Martini ...sweet, tart, delicious! We ordered dates wrapped in prosciutto and lobster bruschetta...perfect, sweet dates, stuffed with cheese and grilled with salty ham. The lobster was served as a generous scoop of salad topped with spicy avocado on crispy toast. The Caesar salads were crisp and salty with shredded Parmesan and anchovies. The pasta with clams was light and sea salty while the bolognese was meaty, sweet with fresh tomtoes and rich. The cedar planked salmon was grilled perfectly, topped with horseradish crust and the lobster ravioli was creamy, luscious and full of seafood ! The wines were lovely..Italian pinot Grigio and Cali Chard. The hot rolls and oil, garli, pepper mixture were addictive . All in all a perfect dinner! We will be back! Many thanks to Erin, Sean and Ray.

Incredible customer service. I was dinning at the Porch with my husband over the holidays and I ordered a custom pizza. The waiter came out after taking my order and said they were out of goat cheese and would l like to order something else. I said no I would be fine and to my surprise the restaurant manager went to the grocery store to personally go buy the goat cheese for my pizza. Now that is service!

Charming atmosphere, food was mediocre. Four for dinner on a Tuesday night and because everything looked so delicious on the menu we shared all our meals. The Trio appetizer was OK, the garlic in the pan was the best for dipping the bread in. The Carpaccio was good, The pasta stuffed with 4 cheese and truffle was OK (the sauce was the best part of it), The Pappardelle was ok.. and I would not order the Truffle Pizza, it was like cardboard. We ordered something else, but can't even remember what it was.. didn't leave a lasting impression. What I did remember was the mix of olive oil, cheese and some other ingredients to dip the bread in--- that was the best part! The wine was great and at a fantastic price point. The service was fair, but overall, I was expecting a better food experience after reading the raving reviews.

Porch looked awesome since we saw it being built and would drive by constantly. Decided to stop in and give it a shot. Nice outdoor setting on a beautiful night, the perfect ambience. Started off with wonderful bread and a blend of dipping oil, tomatoes, and a hint of little red pepper flakes which were addictive. We should have stopped right there. Food was cooked well but EXTREMELY bland. Same story with every dish. The food is probably geared toward the 80+ year old clientele who have a thousand diet restrictions and can't have a well SEASONED dish. Other than the bland food, I was bumped from behind every 2-3 minutes by waitstaff trying to get by my chair. I couldn't pull it in further and the chair at the table behind me couldn't go in further. Bottom line..... The tables are squeezed together on the porch to maximize the number of guests with complete disregard for their overall comfort. Besides this non-food issue, it appears that the namesake "porch" was built quite poorly. The constant "clickity clack" and movement of the porch base boards was annoying. I've sat on very old wooden docks that are more sturdy. Lastly, the service at our table was wonderful, appropriate, and friendly. In fact, the individuduals that appeared to be the owners were quite accommodating, professional, attentive and hands on as they cared for diners. However, a loud, boisterous waitress at the tables behind us was a pathetic joke. Every table could hear her classless comments (i.e. - "time to party" as she bought a bottle of wine to a table with 2 elderly couples). She'd be better of in a college bar serving pitchers of beer. Bottom line.... Drive by this attractive setting (or stop in for bread only) and get an excellent meal in the perfect ambience ANYWHERE else on Atlantic Avenue in Delray.

We LOVE The Porch! Food is excellent...service friendly and attentive... and since we prefer to sit outdoors whenever we can, the porch/deck ambiance is perfect for us. Perhaps one of these evenings we will give the inside a try. We plan to go there often. Yummmm!

My new favorite. I am always on a journey to try new food and was blown away by the Porch Delray Beach's Black Truffle Sachetti's with Quattro formaggi and black truffle stuffed pasta in a brown butter sage sauce. Holy mother of Pearl! I just died. Melt-in-your-mouth home made pasta satchels filled with succulent drops of cheesy, truffle filled heaven! Their Happy Hour is more than generous with soft, golden light warming the white picket fence surrounding red sunbrellas and seagrape trees. At night, it becomes very sexy with soft candlelight and Spanish guitar. We parked ourselves at the Adironak chairs and swinging love seat in the garden whilst drinking Pinot Grigio and watching life go by. The service is very warm and atmosphere is exactly what I've been looking for on these slow, sultry, Southern nights.

Perfect combination of good food and relaxing setting. My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day on a whim after deciding we didn't want to trek down to Fort Lauderdale for our original reservations. We drove by here and saw it was open. Just a few weeks prior we had seen the coming soon sign and were curious to check it out. All in all it was a happy accident that we ended up here that night, and we were glad we did. It was a romantic evening. I look forward to coming back here in the near future.

Not impressed. Thought it would be similar to DaDa's but DaDa's has much better food and way better atmosphere. This restaurant is right on top of a busy street with cars flying by. Food very mediocre. Staff wasn't the best- one of them told me just started working there- they all seem to be more interested playing on their phones then providing service. Even the owner didn't acknowldge us. Beer list and wine list not very good. Carrot cake was good but plenty of places to get a good dessert.

We stumbled upon this cute new place purely by accident and were we glad that we did! It was a beautiful night to sit outside in Delray on The Porch. We enjoyed our salads and carpaccio very much. The server was friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure. I'm just wondering what their busniness model will be when the south Florida summer weather makes sitting outside on that porch a little too steamy to equal the nice evening we had there in April.

Well, I am glad I went the same evening for dinner as the women who completely "bashed" the place, or perhaps I never would have given it a chance. I've driven by a number of times, and thought, "what a cute place!" With so many restaurants in Palm Beach and Delray, I very rarely try newly opened restaurants. Being a restaurant owner myself, I am well aware of all of the "issues" that need to be addressed when opening a new establishment, and prefer to give them an opportunity to address said issues prior to making my own assessment. My girlfriend & I arrived around 7:00 PM, just north of the restaurant is a large parking lot...we had absolutely no problem finding a parking spot for our BMW (lol)! In fact, I remember commenting on the fact I couldn't believe how many spaces were available at 7:00PM in the evening, because Delray was bustling for a Sunday evening. I live in Palm Beach, and rarely make it down to Delray, hence, didn't realize the crowd was normal for a Sunday evening. Our waitress was excellent! She introduced herself, explained a few items on the menu my girlfriend had questions about. We split the Arugula salad (complete with Truffle oil), which we thought was excellent. Keeping in mind, I make the same salad for us at home, she kept teasing me that theirs was better...I hate that woman sometimes :) Our next course was the seafood trio.....EXCELLENT! The lemon, white wine, garlic sauce was so delicious, I would let our waitress take the empty dish away so I could continue to dip that amazing bread in. Which is unusual for me, because at my age...I very rarely even eat bread anymore. For her entree, she ordered the cedar plank salmon..with the understanding that she would eat most of it for lunch the following day...she ate the whole thing! I, on the other hand, figured what the heck...I was already indulging in the bread, I may as well go all the way and have the lobster ravioli.....presentation and preparation was PERFECT! Are there a few changes I would make if I were the proprietor, of course. For a restaurant, less then 2 months open...I say keep pushing forward, iron out those few minor kinks I saw....and I shall see you again for dinner in the very near future! Thank you for a wonderful evening under the stars!

Visited The Porch once before with friends and had a delightful meal/ experience. So why one star you ask? I hoping to get the owner/managers attention. My husband and I walked in last night at 6:45ish. At first a young bus boy told us to pick any table. As we looked around to choose we were then scooped up by a lovely young lady who asked if we had a reservation. We looked around at approximately 7 seated and 12 or more unseated tables, smiled and said no. The hostess/waitress asked us to have a seat at the bar. When asked why we couldn't have a table but she replied that we would need to wait so "we can give you service." Well we stood at the bar for 20 mins or more as waiters and the lovely young lady who seemed ill prepared passed us with a term we would call eye avoidance. The waitress ran back and forth from bar to table and table to bar to kitchen over and over never seeming to have more than one or two items in her hand at a time. In between that she would chat a bit with her table. Two people came in after us who did have a reservation and where promptly seated. Oh and two male waiters and a bar tender also where busy but everyone looked frightened and understaffed as well. No one ever looked our way. No one ever came back to talk to us, update us nor did the bartender even ask us if we were thirsty. After being ignored for what seemed as 30 mins... We left feeling sorry that we couldn't have had a little more respect and communications from the eye avoiding, seemingly overwhelming and underprepared staff. As a local downtown Delray Resident who will support local restaurants in the summer when all visitors are long gone, I'm hoping someone that has control at The Porch will hear me. Please train your staff to be respectful of all visitors seated or not, whether a table reserved or not. Also perhaps a dedicated hostess... a high school student @ minimum wage could make a big difference in the organization of welcoming and seating your patrons. All eye avoiding waitstaff: You'll never know who the big tippers are so don't assume. You're there to be ambassadors of the establishment. I'm sure you can figure out how to serve and respectfully communicate to all patrons even if it's not your assigned position. Just speak to anyone who may choose to visit your establishment. And hello owner/manager we loved our first visit and perhaps too many people called out sick last night But on a street of lots of restaurants to choose from... If someone chooses yours and is willing to pay your prices... It is a complement that should be highly prized. Waiter/ hostess make eye contact, even if your understaffed and overwhelmed. Come back and give someone a table and explain we are backed up so it may take a little bit. It only takes a second to smile say hi and say we will be with you in a minute. Lovely waiter, we chose to come in to YOUR restaurant last night and wanted to enjoy the location, meal , leave a great tip and support your employer so that you can remain liquid and pay your bills. Hello??? Hope you just had a bad night.

I had the most amazing experience at The Porch last night! My friends and I wanted a late night bite to eat, and I saw that they have a late night happy hour on their website which includes food (reg happy hour is 5-6:30, late night happy hour 9:30-11). We show up a bit after 10 on a Monday night and it is pretty quiet at the restaurant. The man who I can only assume is the owner or manager, Henry, was so welcoming! They were clearing up things since it was such a slow night, so he apologized for that, but they were so quiet and respectful of us sitting out on their beautifully quaint outdoor patio that we didn't even notice. Our server was Samantha. She was sweet and accommodating. We ordered our drinks and three options off of the happy hour menu: caeser salad, prosciutto wrapped dates, and bruschetta. They also brought bread with dipping oil to the table. Everything was delightful! The caesar had crisp greens and a deliciously made dressing. The bruschetta consisted of slightly toasted baguette slices with a flavorful tomato, basil, and onion mixture topped with a sweet balsamic drizzle. The dates were hot and wrapped in crisp prosciutto and stuffed with manchego cheese. Also, the dipping oil with the bread had lots of garlic in it, which I LOVED being mildly obsessed with garlic. Everything was great. The music was nice to sit outside and listen to, the servers were attentive and pleasant, the owner/manager(?), Henry, was so gracious and kind. I am excited to return and become a regular!

cute place with tons of outdoor seating on 'The Porch' of course, very friendly staff and they were being as accommodating as they could. We made a reservation for two and they had set up a table right by the door. I asked if we could sit away from the door and they shuffled some things around to make room for us in the main seating area, which was really nice. We wondered why this was even necessary, since there were loads of empty tables surrounding us. Those empty tables did fill up by the time we left, so we understood better then. Yet... i do feel that if the food had come out quicker, we would've easily finished our meal and left before the other reserved tables filled up. the mussels were AMAAAAZING, loved every bite! the bruschetta was also very tasty. the beef carpaccio was a miss... nothing memorable and overpriced. Our waitress was very nice, but the food coming out was a bit on the slow side so if they could work on that I feel that this would be a top notch place that I would love to return to!

Awesome addition to the Delray/North Boca area. I really hope they are off to a good start, so they'll be around for a while. I would highly recommend you trying them if you're close to this area. If you like Dada, then I think you'll like this place as well. Our server, Gina, was very attentive and the food was excellent. I ordered the Orecchiette Salsiccia (glad I get to type that and not have to pronounce that). It was very, very good. My girlfriend tried the cedar-planked salmon, and she really enjoyed it. It was a bit chilly that night, but if it would have been ten degrees warmer the ambiance would have been perfect. We'll definitely be back again soon.

I love The Porch. We have only ever been there quite late at night so I can't speak for their busier hours but we have never had poor service. Plus the food is always good. I was surprised by the price of the ceasar salad with added salmon. I thought it was a bit expensive but I was also expecting it to be small bits of salmon. Turns out it is a full dinner sized portion. Definitely worth it. I love the actual porch outside, just wish it wasn't right on the road but really that's such a minor detail.

My wife and two friends decided to go to "The Porch" restaurant in Delray Beach. We have had two previous dinners there, both of which we enjoyed. . We had an 8 pm reservation. When we arrived, we were seated promptly at an outdoor table. The waiter took our drink orders, which were served in a timely manner. We then proceeded to order the main meal. My wife asked the waiter if there were any mussels, a dish she had enjoyed the two previous times. The waiter simply replied no mussels, with no explanation. We then asked the waiter if there were any specials, whereby the waiter replied no, with no explanation. We then proceeded to order three salad appetizers, two pasta main dishes, a fish dinner, and a gluten free "brick chicken." The appetizers were served on a timely basis, all of which were OK. After waiting very patiently for quite some time, at approxiamately 9pm we asked our waiter when will the food be ready? He said he would check on it. He came back a few minutes later and said he had to serve another table which was in front of us (an odd thing to say) and then we would be right up. Well, about 15 minutes later, we still weren't served our main course. Now at 9:30, an hour and a half from when we sat down, the waiter comes over once again and says we will be served in "4" minutes, that they're "plating our meal". He also stated that the owner himself was now in the kitchen preparing the food. Well, 4 minutes comes and goes and at about 9:45 we finally asked to speak with the manager. A woman came over and was very apologetic. We told her we were just leaving but she asked us to please stay. She said that she was very embarrassed for the untimely service. At that time, we wanted to know, before we stayed for the main course, if management was going to accommodate us in any manner. We all thought this was a reasonable request being that we waited almost two hours, were constantly lied to, and were now asked to stay. She said she would try to accommodate us somehow but couldn't assure us of anything. She also said they were now "plating the food" and it was coming out any moment. Some ten minutes later, now 10pm, over two hours, the waiter brought the food out. At that time, the waiter said we weren't going to be accommodated in any manner and if that wasn't good enough for us, he was going to have to take the food back. Now we were all getting up to leave when the owner, with a look of disgust on his face, aggressively approaches our table. The owner immediately starts screaming "YOU ONLY COME FOR FREE MEAL- OUT GET OUT" We were already on our way out and there was no need to continue this nonsense. The owner follows us to the sidewalk and is now in an uncontrolled rage. He is flailing his arms and now yells, "YOU WANT CUSTOM FREE GLUTEN MEAL OUT OUT". I understand that a restaurant may have a tough night once in a while, but to treat your customers in such a dispicable manner is absolutely inexcusable. Unless, one wants to wait for over two hours, only to be humiliated and embarrassed, there is absolutely no reason to ever ever ever support The Porch, even it it were for free free free.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
